Suggested Provider Policies Template

Provider Policies are terms of use, service, and privacy that teachers offer students while booking their services. Providers are welcome to make whatever policies they are most comfortable with. For those looking for guidance or a template to get their policies started, these are studio policies that may be used by any Provider member by their studio. Providers may use these policies for M Institute student referrals, but if they are used they should be used for all your students, not just our referrals. Our students should not be treated differently than your regular private students and for that reason should be bound by the same policies as your other students. If you are just starting out your studio, these policies are a great place to start.

Lesson Booking

You will book lessons directly with my studio. Please contact me by email to set up your lessons. You may also request a recurring weekly schedule so your preferred time is reserved from others.

Lesson Cancellations & Rescheduling

When you book a lesson, you have reserved my time from others. It may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the lesson for a makeup lesson, but it will not be refunded. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice are considered no-shows, in which case no make-ups or refunds will be given.

To cancel or reschedule, please email me at __________

Lesson Billing

All lessons are pre-paid before the lesson begins via cash, check, venmo, or zelle.

All sales are final. No refunds.

Late Payments

Late payments most often happen in cases of declined or bounced transactions. You will be automatically charged a $50 late-payment fee for each occurrence and no further lessons shall be completed until your account balance is current. Any bank fees incurred, such as a bounced check fee, will be added to your balance.

These terms must be expressly sent to your students prior to booking their first lesson with you to be enforceable. They should also be posted at the bottom of your teaching website, if you have one. If you update your terms of use, you must expressly notify your students and give them reasonable notice of the changes for the new terms to be enforceable.

If you are looking for us to assist you with customized policies or for us to review your current policies for feedback, please text us at 202-952-2202 and setup a studio development meeting with our CEO, Susanna Barasch.
