She performed with her band at all the popular venues and recorded original music under the Lark Records label.

While attending graduate school in Puerto Rico, Lisa published eleven articles on music for The San Juan Star. She was an advocate for Regional Arts and spoke before a panel from the National Endowment at the Centro de Bellas Artes in San Juan. Returning to the DC area, Lisa went on to compose music and text for dance. She worked under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Reviewed by The Washington Post, Lisa’s playing was described as expressive and playful.

She performed at The Capital Fringe Festival two years in a row, and with her ensemble, was voted Best in Fringe. Lisa taught music and performed at the Urban Arts Complex. While serving as School Coordinator and then Principal, she developed curriculum and offered professional development for teachers.
