At that time he played in a variety of different groups including Jazz ensembles (chamber and big band), rock bands, Afro-beat ensembles and Dixieland and folk groups. His broad experience with these diverse musical genres has made him a sought-after instructor in Guitar and Ukulele.
In 2013 he moved to Washington, D.C. where he became involved in local music and theater. He is knowledgeable in many styles of music and has performed with a number of groups in the area including the live hip-hop band Picnibus and the singer-songwriter duo The French Champagne. Nick is also an artistic associate for DC-based Pointless Theatre Co. with which he has served as a performer, composer/arranger, and music director for a number of their productions.
Nick is experienced in working with students of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds and tailors each lesson to the individual. While stressing the importance of learning the fundamentals, he strives to help every student find their own voice on their instrument and to help them discover the rhythmic and harmonic sophistication of guitar.
