Last night's M Institute for the Arts wine tasting & jazz fundraiser at Boulangerie Christophe was a smashing success! More than eighty guests gathered outside at Christophe's red-brick back patio lit by fairy lights and twinkling candles. As we listened to DC's premiere jazz quartet, Laissez Foure, under a warm September sky, we tasted delicious french wines and cast bids for our favorite auction items.
I'm not exaggerating, but each wine I tried tasted better than the next. There were four french wines to try: La Sultanine (Rose), La Sultanine (Red), Sainte Anne (Red), & Chateau Magneau (white bordeaux). My favorite, however, was the La Sultanine Rose.
M Institute for the Arts wants to thank everyone who came and supported us at the wine tasting. We especially want to thank our sponsors, Boulangerie Christophe, Alliance Francaise, Academic Travel Abroad, Scout, Joan Kennan, Susanna Barasch, Stephen T Barasch, MD, & Barry Blackburn for their generous donations. We were so happy to have them there.
An extra special thank you to Boulangerie Christophe for donating their stunning venue to us for the evening and for the amazing job of selecting these wines and facilitating the tasting. We couldn't have asked for a more charming setting.
We also would like to give a shout out to everyone who offered auction items for the event, including:
Lili The First, thank you for donating a stylist!
Fuel Body Lab, thank you for donating a package!
Take Five Meditation, thank you for donating an unlimited month!
Boaz Yavnai, thank you for donating architectural services!
Room & Board, thanks for donating that beautiful lamp!
Capital Wine School, thank you for donating a wine course!
After our french wine tasting and jazz fundraiser, we can't wait to host more fun fundraising events in the District that celebrates the arts.
