Why Choose a Teacher through the M?

There are a few obvious reasons to find your next teacher through the M like the lesson discounts, performances, and all the other membership benefits. But the biggest reason is less obvious: Our network of teachers are carefully curated by our panel of expert, professional musicians.

When you find a teacher online, who is not affiliated with a reputable organization, there is no assurance as to the quality of that teacher. Even if found on a third-party site (e.g. takelessons.com, thumbtack.com, taylorrobinsmusic.com, or even local music association lists) those sites are typically nothing more than an unmonitored or low-bar listserv of teachers or people who want to be teachers. Almost anyone can make a teacher profile; no one is even checking the accuracy of their profiles.

At the M you will receive only the best and most qualified teachers. It's very competitive for teachers to be accepted onto our network. They first apply, are interviewed in person by our CEO and Artistic Director, background checked, and we must receive at least three recommendations from their students. Even after all that, we only present the most qualified teachers and set the bar high for entrance into our network. It is not about quantity but quality.

Additionally, these amazing teachers are in high demand. Getting into their studios can be very difficult and potentially competitive for more advanced studies. Since these teachers have a relationship with us, they accept consultations with our members right away; our members go to the top of the list.

And since we do not collect fees from our teachers or take any part of their lesson revenue, nor do we charge them when they're introduced to new students or a process to "bid", we are always able to offer quality instruction from established instructors. Our competitors can't say that.

Join today to be placed with one of our world-class instructors!
